Chili Bowl Dress Code
Please note that the first and primary emphasis of The Chili Bowl is the Youth Rally. With that being said, please do not wear your football clothing to the Youth Rally portion of the day. After the completion of the Youth Rally, everyone that would like to play football will have plenty of time to change into their football clothing for the flag football tournament. In addition, clothing must still remain modest for the football tournament.
We do ask that everyone abide by the guidelines as given by the Eldership of the Waverly Church of Christ, which are as follows:
1. Obey the rules that are in place
2. Dress Code: No less than knee length shorts/skirt and t-shirt.
Additional note: Your shirt must have sleeves. Please do not wear clothing with offensive messages or offensive advertisements. Please do not wear revealing clothing.
3. The following will not be tolerated:
a) Profanity
b) The use of any kind of tobacco
c) Alcohol
4. Listen to adult chaperones at all times
5.Keep your hands and your feet to yourself and off of other people and their property.
6. During Devotionals, singing sessions, and all Bible Classes, we ask that you be respectful.
7. S M I L E wherever you go!
But what if I do not want to play football?
The purpose for this event is for your Spiritual growth. Football is secondary. With that being said, you do not have to play football if you do not want to. For the 2009 Chili Bowl, snacks and games will be provided in the Enrichment Center along with plenty of adult supervision to those who do not wish to go to the football stadium.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The Chili Bowl Youth Rally is a service offered by teh Waverly Church of Christ. You are our guests for the day and we do not ask for any monetary reimbursement. All lodging and meals will be provided. However, we do ask that you give us as much notice as possible that your group is coming. This will allow us to make adequate preparations for the meals on Saturday and Sunday. Please be sure to e-mail your group information to Chris at waverlyyouthgroup@hotmail.com
